A large Telecoms business is seeking a Public Relations Executive. Based in Dublin 1. Salary: €37K - €40K. 12 month contract.
The Role: Reporting to the Public Affairs Manager Developing effective working relationships with key stakeholders Handling of press and media queries in cooperation with the Public Affairs Manager Managing websites and services in cooperation with the Public Affairs Manager – Includes creating content, managing network of internal content creators, uploading of regulatory documents and providing training and upskilling as required. Management and implementation of Media Strategy in cooperation with the Public Affairs Manager. Managing social media strategy including Twitter and LinkedIn account management. Monitoring social media and information relevant to the organisation/wider telecommunications sector and preparing reports. Assisting with the drafting and collating of key documents from the Public Affairs office. Responsible for implementing the official Irish languages act Acting as one of the Accessibility Officers, in conjunction with the Public Affairs Manager, with responsibility for implementing the Disability Act. This includes providing Disability Awareness training to all staff. Assist in a communications-related activities General communications and administrative duties as required The Candidate: Excellent written and oral communication skills A thorough understanding of the media Minimum of 3 years’ communications / media relations experience Telecoms and communications sectors would be advantageous Some level of competence in Irish Language would be a plus Well organised and excellent communication/influential skills Have confidence in their work Be very capable of working within a team and on their own initiative Experience drafting documents
