Digital marketing continues to grow, as it becomes a necessity for most company’s marketing departments. According to Brightwater, there was a significant rise in the candidates moving away from traditional marketing into the digital space, as well as an increase in graduates leaving college having specialised in the area. This follows the trend that digital is becoming less of a niche, and more of a necessity for marketing departments. This is also reflected in the movement of salaries for the likes of Social Media Managers from last year’s salary survey. The utilities and hospitality sectors have been a real driver of the increase in digital marketing roles. SEO and PPC Specialists are in demand and these trends show no signs of slowing down moving into 2017.
In terms of the salaries on offer, an SEO specialist can expect a salary of between 40,000 and 50,000 euro, as can a PPC executive.
A social media manager could earn between 40,000 and 55,000 euro, and a Marketing Manager has the potential to earn anywhere between 45,000 and 75,000, depending on their level of experience.
