The   Audi   Dublin   International  Film  Festival   is Ireland’s premier event and has built a formidable reputation for delivering the very best in international film and film talent to Irish and International audiences each year.

Its core elements include a select programme of the most exciting international cinema currently on offer, the best new Irish cinema, a retrospective of much loved and forgotten classics, a focus on screenwriting and unique access to a plethora of international filmmaking talent including actors, writers and directors and behind the scenes talent.

An   all-encompassing   event,   carefully   curated   and ranging from the weird and wonderful to the glamorous and exclusive, ADIFF turns the city of Dublin into a film mecca for cinema-goers and experience-lovers of all kinds.

ADIFF MARKETING INTERN

This is an incredible opportunity to join a team of dedicated, professional, creative and well-connected sector leaders on a campaign that will attract huge attention, in Ireland and internationally.

Working closely with Marketing consultants Tom Lawlor and Sinead McPhillips, as well as the wider ADIFF team, the internship is an exciting opportunity to work on one of the largest arts marketing campaigns in the calendar.

We’re looking for a savvy and enthusiastic digital native to join our team as a Marketing Intern between October and the festival in February 2017 in our Dublin office. Initially part time, you’ll become a full time member of the team as the event draws closer.

We’re looking for someone who has drive, ambition, creative flair and a passion for film, festivals and events.

Required skills

●             Strong interest in festivals and arts marketing, preferably with an interest in pursuing a career in arts/film marketing

●             Skilled copywriter with the ability to communicate to diverse audiences across multiple platforms on myriad topics

●             Digitally savvy and ahead of the curve on all digital and social opportunities

●             Proven experience in engaging content creation

●             Excellent communication skills: written and verbal skills are essential as the position requires preparing information on the brand for newsletters, social media and other key stakeholders.

●             Fluent in English

●             Meticulous attention to detail

●             Proficient in Word/Excel/Google Sheets, Google

Drive, Google Calendars, Dropbox

●             Excellent and demonstrable organisational skills

●             Ability to manage your time effectively

●             Ability to work well as part of a dynamic team in an office environment and off-site on content creation

Preferred skills but not essential

●             A background in content creation and digital media

●             Experience proofing printed collateral (brochures, flyers, programmes)

●             Experience in a similar organisation or film festival

●             Experience maintaining a CRM / website

●             Experience managing databases of information

●             Experience managing print and print production for major marketing campaigns

Duties

●             Website updates

●             Social media management and content generation

●             Implementation of marketing strategy across multiple platforms

●             Research and compile databases of potential target markets and groups

●             Project manage events designed to build awareness of the festival

●             Assistance in print material production / delivery /distribution in lead up to event

●             Co-ordinating distribution of marketing materials

●             Create engaging email newsletters with strong CTAs

●             Manage deadlines on multiple aspects of the campaign

●             Creating detailed weekly reports

●             Assist in coordinating events including co-ordination of social media, website, newsletters

●             Collation of materials to support PR campaign and regular updating of media online

●             Proofreading copy and generating copy

●             Collation and management of digital and material assets

●             Liaison between festival team and festival venues

TERMS & CONDITIONS

●             LOCATION - The position is based in our Dublin city centre office

●             PERIOD - End of October to first week in March Initially part time from end of October, increasing to 4 days per week in December, and full-time as the festival draws closer

●             HOURS - Normal working day 10am - 6pm. During festival dates (two weeks in February), a flexible approach to working hours is required with a willingness to work evenings and weekends to support the workload.

We will work with you to ensure that the internship meets the conditions for course placement / credits.

REMUNERATION

ADIFF is committed to providing support for carrying out the position and a stipend will be provided to cover out of pocket expenses.
