Project Libre is a free open-source project management software application. It is designed to manage small to medium sized projects and contains all the tools necessary to manage various types of projects including extensive reporting facilities. Project Libre is also compatible with Microsoft Project making the transfer of projects easy. The Project is an important part of the Project Management Course. Each Construction Project Management Course participant is given the project brief. Participants are asked at the end of the Project Management Course to produce a Pitch Proposal with their recommendations to the examiners. This allows participants to use the knowledge they have obtained during the Project Management Course in a focused way and develops Pitching skills.
The Construction Project Management course that I recently completed is in my opinion very detailed and excellently drafted. I enjoyed every module and found them very broad. I feel that by including and highlighting how project management skills can be utilised in different industries really enhanced the course. Personally I enjoyed the negotiation module and discovered that this aspect of project management to be really intriguing. Overall I learnt a great deal on how project management works and feel it will be of great value to me going forward. The diploma will benefit me in my future career as it along with my practical and previous management experience in construction should help me advance and secure employment that match my skill set. I have just completed the online Diploma in Project Management and it has been a great experience.
